The tree currently depicted in this design grows alone in a field on Rt. 27 in Kingfield Maine, I chose it because it has a very pleasing growth habit, and also for the way it stretches to shade the large rock at its base. It is most easily seen on a foggy morning when the fog layers separate it from the background.
